DCCA DYS Family & Youth Enhancement Program
FAMILY & YOUTH ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM (F&YEP) is a multi-faceted program under the Division of Youth Services which aims to provide preventative and supportive activities that would assist youths and families in the CNMI in developing sustainable basic skills. Thus, eliminates at-risk behaviors and promote opportunities for more positive lifestyle, enhancing their capacity to make healthier life choices and achieve self-sufficiency.
Hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Eligibility:
1. Victims of child abuse and neglect and their family members
2. Juveniles detained at the Juvenile Detention facility and their family members
3. Juveniles placed on probation and their family members
4. Homeless Individuals and families
5. Youth at risk
6. Parents at risk
7. Youth in general (prevention)
8. Adults in general (prevention)
Documents:
1.Youth Sessions & Parenting Classes: Program Registration Form
2. Volunteer Program: Complete application with following requirements (Copy of ID, copy of health insurance card/Medicaid and police clearance if over the age of 18.)
3. After School Program: Complete application with following requirements (Copy of school ID or Birth Certificate, copy of health insurance card and health certificate).
4. Summer Youth Empowerment Camp: Complete camp registration with requirements (Copy of ID or birth certificate and copy of health insurance card)

The program is designed to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development, physical health and cultural awareness, reduce at- risk behaviors, and provide a safe and supportive environment for children and youth.

While parents/care givers are attending the classes, their children are at the children/youth room participating in scheduled activities offered.
E. DYS KAGMAN COMMUNITY CENTER, PARENT RESOURCE ROOM
1. Provides resources and case manage families with children with disabilities. Services include but not limited to; referrals for counseling, transportation assistance, medical health, and any services the family may need.
2. Provides training and information to program participants.
